The National Experience Network is a free of charge collection of quality and service improvement projects, leadership and management courses, educational projects, work shadowing opportunities and much more from all kinds of organisations including representative organisations, lobbyists, charities, the private sector and, of course, National Health Service organisations.
The network is intended to provide CV-enhancing experiences to all school and health and social care university students and newly qualified health and social care professionals from across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
The NEN is open to school students who wish to obtain experience for applying to university as well as university students and newly qualified professionals who wish to obtain experiences to keep up-to-date with the latest management, leadership and quality improvement techniques, tools and insights.
If you are just browsing the site, you can click “Register”, or “Log in” if you have already registered, at any time at the top of the pages on the site in order to apply for experiences.
If you wish to apply for an experience you will need to register and log in and click 'apply' below the relevant experience. You will either be taken to a form to complete in order to apply for that experience or you will be taken to a third party website depending on the nature of the experience. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for the content of third party websites.
If you have an experience to offer students, you simply need to click “I want to provide an experience” after clicking “Register” on the top of any page, register and log in. Once you have logged in, go to the 'experiences page' and click the link at the top of the text on that page. You will then be asked to sign into the administrative section where you can upload your experience, and edit expereinces you have previously registered using that user name. If you wish to delete an experience you have submitted please contact us.
We welcome applications from school students, university students and newly qualified professionals.
Please feel free to explore the site, and if you haven’t already, click “Register” at the top of the page to get applying to what could be life changing experiences, not only for yourself but for others in your present or future care.
If you want to help us promote the National Experience Network you can download the posters here, unfortunately at present we are unable to provide printed posters outside of Hull, York, Leeds, Sheffield and Belfast.
